Steering box (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 32 11 1 130 674. The number stamped on the part is 32111130674; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1130674. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH-steering box”. You will find it on our Steering shelf, under Other Steering parts. It supersedes the older number 1127750, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1130170.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 3.6 kg (8.0 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
