This is a genuine BMW valvetronic control unit (exchange unit), part number 12 14 7 527 313. The number stamped on the part is 12147527313; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7527313. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH-Valvetronic control unit”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 7532949, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (316i, 316ti, 318i and 318ti, 2001–2003), with the N42 engine.
