Exchange 6 speed gearbox — a genuine BMW part, number 23 00 7 570 574. The number stamped on the part is 23007570574; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7570574. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older number 7565906, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 37 kg (82 lb).
