This is a genuine BMW exchange 7 speed sequential gearbox, part number 23 01 2 283 399. The number stamped on the part is 23012283399; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2283399. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older number 2282799, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Manual gearbox GS7S47BG (SMG) (23_0980) diagram. It weighs about 73 kg (161 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
