Exchange control unit EGS with EML — a genuine BMW part, number 24 61 1 219 483. The number stamped on the part is 24611219483; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1219483. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1218495, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Control unit EGS, programmed (24_0617) diagram. It weighs about 588 g (1.3 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
