The number stamped on the part is 65128353561; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8353561. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio, amplifier, CD player. It supersedes the older number 1391389, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 8368543.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (318i, 320i, 325i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M44, M50 or S50 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 14 diagrams, among them Radio Bavaria C (65_0000) and Radio Bavaria C (65_0001). It weighs about 1.3 kg (2.9 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
