Genuine BMW part 46 63 1 453 058: Expanding nut. The number stamped on the part is 46631453058; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1453058. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Motorbike fairing, windscreen. It supersedes the older number 0304858, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 28 diagrams, among them Mechanical Connection Elements (41_0982) and Mechanical Connection Elements (41_1433). BMW lists the quantity used as “as required”. It also comes in BMW kits Retrofit kit, Radio Boost (0148580) and Retrofit kit, Radio Boost MD (0148582) and 1 more.
