05 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Expanding rivet — a genuine BMW part, number 51 71 8 170 475. The number stamped on the part is 51718170475; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8170475. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 0151595, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 compact (316g, 1996), with the M43 engine.
BMW draws it on 7 diagrams, among them Engine acoustics (11_6393) and Panel, partition, top (51_1532). BMW's catalog calls for four of these at each place it is fitted.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
