The number stamped on the part is 52108130390; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8130390. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Tail trim. It supersedes the older number 1977972, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1960792.
It fits the E36 sedan, touring and compact (318i, 318ti, 320i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 and other engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Front Seat Rail Mechanical/Single Parts (52_0621) and Front Seat Rail (52_0622). It weighs about 56 g (0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
