The number stamped on the part is 07129905129; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9905129. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older number 9900475, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9904552.
It fits every E46 body style (316i, 316ti, 318i and 318ti, 2001–2004), with the N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.
BMW draws it on 7 diagrams, among them Waterpump - Thermostat (11_3192) and Lubrication system/Oil pump (11_3713). BMW's catalog calls for four of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb).
