This is a genuine BMW fillister head with washer, part number 07 12 9 903 041. The number stamped on the part is 07129903041; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9903041. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older number 9900452, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (M3, 1996–1999), with the S50 engine. It also fits the E46 coupe and convertible (M3, 2001–2006), with the S54 engine.

BMW draws it on 9 diagrams, among them Cylinder head Vanos (11_1575) and Lubrication system/Oil pump with drive (11_1579).
