Genuine BMW part 11 12 7 568 178: Flange nut. The number stamped on the part is 11127568178; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7568178. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Cylinder head with cover. It supersedes the older number 1709582, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (316i, 316ti, 318i and 318ti, 2001–2004), with the N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.

BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Cylinder head (11_3177) and Cylinder head, electr. add-on parts (11_3296).
