This is a genuine BMW flange nut, part number 12 52 1 719 648. The number stamped on the part is 12521719648; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1719648. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older numbers 0141131 and 0150540, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9125856.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 37 diagrams, among them Battery Cable(battery Rear) (12_0364) and Battery Cable(battery Rear) (12_0427). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
