Flat contact, fan connector — a genuine BMW part, number 61 13 1 387 142. The number stamped on the part is 61131387142; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1387142. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Plug connection, terminal. It supersedes the older number 0492970, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 9 diagrams, among them Various comb-type connectors (61_1349) and Various comb-type connectors (61_1804). BMW lists the quantity used as “as required”. It also comes in BMW kits Repair kit (0492913) and Cable Socket Female (0492970).
