This is a genuine BMW foil, part number 51 12 2 268 588. The number stamped on the part is 51122268588; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2268588. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Door, rear.
It fits the E36 compact (318ti, 1995–1999), with the M42 or M44 engines — and the European-market versions.
