Genuine BMW part 51 71 7 129 236: Front panel. The number stamped on the part is 51717129236; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7129236. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 7016079, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7161831.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Wheelhouse/Engine Support (41_1479) diagram. It weighs about 8.0 kg (18 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
