The number stamped on the part is 13541404639; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1404639. You will find it on our Air Intake shelf, under Throttle valve and operation. It supersedes the older number 1403979, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (M3, 1995–1999), with the S50 engine.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Throttle housing Assy (13_0579) and Throttle housing Assy (13_1726). BMW's catalog calls for three of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 133 g (0.3 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
