The number stamped on the part is 11621728984; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1728984. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Exhaust manifold. It supersedes the older number 1728983, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and compact (318i, 318ti, 320i, 325i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M42, M44, M50 or S50 engines.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Exhaust manifold (11_1086) and Exhaust manifold (11_1087). It weighs about 39 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Gasket set cylinder head asbestos free (1730252) and Gasket set cylinder head asbestos free (1730253) and 11 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
