Genuine BMW part 11 71 2 249 885: Gasket Steel. The number stamped on the part is 11712249885; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2249885. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Exhaust-gas recirculation. It supersedes the older number 2247883, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan and touring (320d, 1998–2000), with the M47 engine.
BMW draws it on the Emission reduction cooling (11_2231) diagram. BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It also comes in BMW kits Gasket set cylinder head asbestos free (2247501) and Gasket set cylinder head asbestos free (2248990).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
