04 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW glove box light, part number 63 31 0 398 379. The number stamped on the part is 63310398379; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0398379. You will find it on our Lighting shelf, under Other Lighting parts. It supersedes the older number 8364920, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 6962045.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 6 diagrams, among them Various Lamps/Spare Bulbs Box (63_0470) and Various lamps (63_0603). It weighs about 22 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
