Handbrake lever leather black — a genuine BMW part, number 34 41 1 164 493. The number stamped on the part is 34411164493; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1164493. You will find it on our Brakes shelf, under Parking brake. It supersedes the older numbers 1164492 and 1166201, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i, 330i and M3, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Handbrake lever (34_0767) and Handbrake lever (34_1118). It weighs about 850 g (1.9 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
