Hex Bolt — a genuine BMW part, number 07 11 9 900 402. The number stamped on the part is 07119900402; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9900402. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 11.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 10 diagrams, among them Retrofit kit, Performance chassis (03_0068) and Retrofit kit, Performance chassis (03_0069). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 60 g (0.1 lb).
