This is a genuine BMW hex nut, part number 11 62 1 744 323. The number stamped on the part is 11621744323; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1744323. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Exhaust manifold. It supersedes the older numbers 0643110 and 1465093, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M43, M44, M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits every E46 body style (M3, 2001–2006), with the S54 engine — and the European-market versions.
