The number stamped on the part is 12312322422; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2322422. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Alternator with motor and mounting. It supersedes the older numbers 0153210 and 9922035, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9904028.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
