The number stamped on the part is 52108151155; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8151155. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Tail trim. It supersedes the older number 0151067, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 3428077.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (318i, 320i, 325i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M50 or S50 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Front Seat Electrical Backrest Frame (52_0564) and BMW Sports Seat Frame Electrical (52_0568). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
