It supersedes the older number 6756717, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan, coupe and touring (316i and 316i 1.6, 1998–2004), with the M43, N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them BMW LA wheel, star spoke 96 (36_0500) and BMW LA wheel, star spoke 96 (36_0611). BMW's catalog calls for four of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 90 g (0.2 lb).
