Hub cap, airbag — a genuine BMW part, number 32 34 2 229 030. The number stamped on the part is 32342229030; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2229030. You will find it on our Steering shelf, under Other Steering parts. It supersedes the older number 2228235, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M43, M44, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them M Sports steer.-wheel, airbag, leather (32_0732) and M Sports steer.-wheel, airbag, leather (32_1104). It weighs about 1.6 kg (3.4 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
