Genuine BMW part 12 13 1 286 087: Ignition coil. The number stamped on the part is 12131286087; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1286087. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Ignition coil. It supersedes the older number 1726310, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan (318i, 1992–1998), with the M40 engine — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 21 diagrams, among them Ignition harness with marten repeller (03_3946) and Ignition harness with marten repeller (03_3947). It weighs about 882 g (1.9 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
