The number stamped on the part is 61320422578; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0422578. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Ignition switch. It supersedes the older number 0420755, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 0431898.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 470 g (1.0 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set uniform lock.syst. w/CAS cntrl(code) (0031504) and Set uniform lock.syst. w/CAS cntrl(code) (0031581) and 3 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
