Inst. instr., rail pillon-passenger seat — a genuine BMW part, number 01 29 7 655 607. The number stamped on the part is 01297655607; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7655607. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Other Technical Literature parts. It supersedes the older number 7653722, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Installation instructions (01_0495) diagram. It weighs about 61 g (0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Inst.kit, passenger seat rail, large (7682313).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
