Genuine BMW part 01 29 9 797 537: Installation instructions, topcase. The number stamped on the part is 01299797537; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9797537. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Other Technical Literature parts. It supersedes the older number 9797543, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Installation instructions (01_0550) diagram. It weighs about 49 g (0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
