Jack SLK 2.8 with cable — a genuine BMW part, number 12 52 0 007 168. The number stamped on the part is 12520007168; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0007168. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 0140959, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 10 diagrams, among them Laminated contacts/spring contacts (12_1043) and Laminated contacts/spring contacts (12_1150). It weighs about 4 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Repair kit (0493226).
