Leather saddle bag — a genuine BMW part, number 71 60 1 234 030. The number stamped on the part is 71601234030; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1234030. You will find it on our Tools shelf, under Other Equipment Parts parts. It supersedes the older numbers 1231588 and 9055078, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1238511.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 2.9 kg (6.5 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
