Left fuel level sensor — a genuine BMW part, number 16 11 6 768 788. The number stamped on the part is 16116768788; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6768788. You will find it on our Fuel System shelf, under Fuel tank with filler pipe. It supersedes the older number 6755879, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on the Fuel pump and fuel level sensor (16_0373) diagram. It weighs about 223 g (0.5 lb).
