This is a genuine BMW left upper front door hinge, part number 41 52 1 960 233. The number stamped on the part is 41521960233; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1960233. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Bodywork parts. It supersedes the older number 1960307, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Front Door-Hinge/Door Brake (41_0041) and Front Door-Hinge/Door Brake (41_0811). It weighs about 387 g (0.9 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
