Lighter element — a genuine BMW part, number 61 34 6 969 134. The number stamped on the part is 61346969134; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6969134. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Cigarette lighter, sockets. It supersedes the older numbers 0404532 and 8383214, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9308246.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M43, M44, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 41 diagrams, among them Various switches (61_0748) and Various switches (61_0754). It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
