Genuine BMW part 13 53 1 438 217: Lock Ring. The number stamped on the part is 13531438217; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1438217. You will find it on our Air Intake shelf, under Injector nozzles and lines.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 1992–1999), with the M43 engine — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan, coupe and touring (316i, 316i 1.6, 316i 1.9 and 318i, 1997–2001), with the M43 engine.
