Genuine BMW part 33 13 1 207 280: Lock Ring. The number stamped on the part is 33131207280; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1207280. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Other Rear Axle parts. It supersedes the older number 9933531, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 33 diagrams, among them Rear-axle-drive (33_0370) and Drive Flange Suspension/Gasket (33_0473). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It also comes in BMW kit Gasket Set Differential (1214117).
