This is a genuine BMW lower trim panel, part number 32 31 1 152 990. The number stamped on the part is 32311152990; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1152990. You will find it on our Steering shelf, under Other Steering parts. It supersedes the older number 1108599, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 14 diagrams, among them Steering Column-Tube/Trim Panel (32_0349) and Steering Column-Tube/Trim Panel (32_0350). It weighs about 208 g (0.5 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
