This is a genuine BMW luggage compartment light/Trunk lid, part number 63 31 6 962 569. The number stamped on the part is 63316962569; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6962569. You will find it on our Lighting shelf, under Other Lighting parts. It supersedes the older number 8368577, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan and touring (323i and 325i, 2000–2005), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 10 diagrams, among them Various lamps (63_0324) and Interior lights (63_0579). It weighs about 30 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
