Magnet — a genuine BMW part, number 24 11 7 560 575. The number stamped on the part is 24117560575; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7560575. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Gearbox housing, oil sump. It supersedes the older number 1423588, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them A5S360R/390R oil pan/oil strainer (24_0996) and A5S360R/390R oil pan/oil strainer (24_0998). It weighs about 22 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Fluid filter kit, autom. transmission (2333824) and Fluid filter kit, autom. transmission (2333825) and 1 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
