Genuine BMW part 51 17 7 007 960: Mount, petrol cap. The number stamped on the part is 51177007960; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7007960. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Bumper, rear. It supersedes the older number 4311308, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 compact (316ti, 318td, 318ti, 320td and 325ti, 2001–2004), with the M47N, M54, N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.
BMW draws it on the Side Panel/Tail Trim (41_1361) diagram. It weighs about 260 g (0.6 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
