Genuine BMW part 11 65 7 796 718: Muffler clamp. The number stamped on the part is 11657796718; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7796718. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Other Engine parts. It supersedes the older number 7794313, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Turbo Charger with Lubrication (11_3836) and Turbo Charger with Lubrication (11_3873). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Installation kit, turbocharger (2348645) and Installation kit, turbocharger (2348651).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
