Genuine BMW part 24 11 1 218 008: Needle sleeve. The number stamped on the part is 24111218008; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1218008. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Gearbox housing, oil sump. It supersedes the older number 1215464, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 29 diagrams, among them Zf 4hp22/24 Ax-Bearing Single Parts (24_0347) and Zf 4hp22/24 Output (24_0440). It weighs about 25 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Repair Set Ax-Bearing (1215582).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
