This is a genuine BMW netted blind support, part number 51 47 2 492 325. The number stamped on the part is 51472492325; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2492325. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 8170597, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 touring (316i, 318i, 318tds, 320i, 323i, 325tds and 328i, 1994–1997), with the M41, M43, M51 or M52 engines.
BMW draws it on the Roller screen/load area roller net (51_2208) diagram. BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 470 g (1.0 lb).
