The number stamped on the part is 24211422471; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1422471. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Input, intermediate and output shafts. It supersedes the older number 1218855, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan (316i 1.9 and 318i, 1997–2001), with the M43 engine.
