The number stamped on the part is 11712243019; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2243019. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Exhaust-gas recirculation. It supersedes the older number 0141115, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 21 diagrams, among them Vacuum control-AGR (11_0870) and Vacuum control-AGR (11_0871). BMW lists the quantity used as “as required”. It weighs about 5 g (under 0.1 lb).
