Genuine BMW part 24 20 1 217 321: O-ring. The number stamped on the part is 24201217321; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1217321. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Control unit EGS. It supersedes the older number 1206029, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 47 diagrams, among them A5S325Z Output (24_0890) and A5s310z Output (24_1563). It also comes in BMW kits Gasket Set Automatik Transmission (1206408) and Gasket Set F Automatik Transmission "af" (1218614) and 1 more.
