Oil pump — a genuine BMW part, number 11 41 7 838 123. The number stamped on the part is 11417838123; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7838123. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Oil pump with strainer and drive. It supersedes the older number 7836993, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (M3, 1995–1999), with the S50 engine. It also fits the E46 coupe and convertible (M3, 2001–2006), with the S54 engine.
