08 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Owner's handbook — a genuine BMW part, number 01 49 8 525 699. The number stamped on the part is 01498525699; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8525699. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Other Technical Literature parts. It supersedes the older numbers 7686079 and 8524529, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 8550529.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Owner's handbook (01_0774) diagram.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
